INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADATION:
- A total of 2458 sq.m of laboratory space has been developed/renovated at the project sites.
- Facilitated equipping the laboratories as per sanction with equipment like PCR/RT PCR/Flow
Cytometers/Chemiluminescence Analyzers/ Gel Doc/Fluorescence Microscope/DNA Sequenser/ Fish
/Automated Hybrid Capture System/Automated Hematology Analyzer/HPLC/Refrigerated Centrifuges/Deep
Fridges/Water Purifiers & supporting equipment.
RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS:
- Manipur- Lung Cancer; Hemoglobin Variants; HIV.
- Nagaland- Cancer; H.Pylori; Scrub Typhus.
- Assam -Hormone levels in Unipolar Depression& Schizophrenia;Hemoglobinopathies & Thallassemia;
HPV Her 2/Neu; Esophageal Carcinoma;Gall Bladder Carcinoma; JEV;Karyotyping & Cytogenetics; Anemia ;
- Tripura- HPV; Leukemia; Gi- Tract Cancer; Breast Cancer; TB.
- 43 publications have been generated from the infrastructure projects.
- 30 presentations have been generated from the infrastructure projects.
- 16 PhD (07 ongoing; 05 submitted& 04 awarded)& 36 PG Thesis have been generated/supported
from the infrastructure projects.

DIAGNOSTICS & ENHANCED PATIENT CARE AT THE PROJECT SITES:
As detailed in the individual project reports, the following diagnostics for enhanced patient care have
been made available:
- Viral load detection for HBV,HIV, HIV-1, high risk HPV.
- Flowcytometer based detection of leukemia, cycle cycle ploidy& multiple myloma
- HLA typing, HLA B27 testing.
- Detection of hemoglobin variants &Hemoglobinopathies
- Histopathology
- Immunohistochemistry
- Karyotyping & cytogenetic analysis
- MDR TB detection
- RFPL&SSCP of APC GENES ;
- BRCAI& BRAC2 Detection
- MEC A gene detection,
- AED estimation
- Insecticide poisoning detection;
- Detection of H.PYLORI & Scrub Typhus;
- BCR-ABL fusion gene quantification for CML;
- HER2/NEU for breast cancer;
- Tests for HBSAG;HCV;CA 125,CEA,CA 19.5,PSA;
- Leukemia Immunophenotyping;
- Cell Cycle/Ploidy Typing
- Sequensing Services;
- Blood& Hormone profiles, Red cell indices, complete Haemogram.
EDUCATION & TRAINING AT THE PROJECT SITES:
- Project personnel recruited to the 100 sanctioned project positions in 21 projects.
- Overall 61 training programmes/workshops were conducted by the project sites as detailed in individual project reports.
- A total of 143 Training programmes/workshop were attended by the project personal as detailed in individual project reports.
